The films that stay with you longest aren't the ones with the best footage. They're the ones that made you feel something. The edit is where that either happens or it doesn't.
Over two decades I've helped shape some of the most ambitious natural history and documentary series in British television, cutting prime-time productions for broadcasters and platforms including the BBC, Netflix, Apple TV+, National Geographic, Disney+ and NBC.
My work has reached audiences across the globe. What I'm after are the ones it stays with.

The overlooked, the unglamorous, the frankly chaotic — natural history told from the bottom of the pecking order. Narrated by Ryan Reynolds. A series that bakes irreverence into the storytelling without sacrificing the science.

The landmark Attenborough series revealing the secret lives of the plant kingdom. The Desert Worlds episode — a world that appears lifeless until it isn't — demanded a different kind of patience from the edit. Judges described it as 'mind-blowingly good — hugely ambitious editorially and technologically ground-breaking.'

Six apex predators at a threshold. The series asks what it looks like when the animal at the top of the food chain has to adapt — not gradually, but now. The cheetah episode follows two brothers: what each can't survive alone, they may be able to overcome together.

The lockdown created an unplanned experiment. This Attenborough-narrated feature documentary captures what happened to wildlife when the noise of human life briefly stopped — birdsong returning to cities, whales finding new frequencies, capybaras in suburban streets. A film about absence, and what fills it.

The editorial problem was the same in every episode: everything the audience thinks they know about sharks is wrong. Four hundred species, most of them unknown outside specialist circles. The series begins by dismantling the myth and builds from there.
